The good properties of poultry white meats and turkey in particular (low in fat, low in cholesterol, rich in proteins and B-group vitamins) made Espina firmly decide to develop a wide range of cooked products with this base. The health benefits of turkey have boosted its prestige and consumption to figures as important as those enjoyed cooked pork products.
The boom in products made from turkey thigh or breast has also led us to want to offer an interesting and varied range of cured turkey products. The aim has been to offer the same flavours as salami, chorizo or salami - traditionally made from pork - with a greater tenderness offered by turkey.
We believe that we have achieved it and we invite you to taste it. In the range of cured turkey products there are no significant nutritional advantages or differences from the same pork products, but the doors are opening to new profiles of consumers reluctant to consume pork sausage made with pork.
